Submitting to Greatcoat

The reading period for Greatcoat is November - May.

To submit, send 4-6 poems or one creative essay, unpublished in print or on the web, to:

submissions@greatcoat.org

Include last name and type of work in the subject line. Example: Jones, Poetry. If you're sending prose, indicate word count as well. Example: Smith, CNF, 999 words.

Please send your work as a single MS Word or RTF attachment. Do not send in the body of an email, or send multiple attachments -- failure to send work via single attachments in the designated format, or to include last name and type of work in subject line, may result in automatic deletion.

 
Let us know if a piece is submitted simultaneously to another journal, and if that piece is accepted elsewhere.

Please submit only once during a reading period. Submissions outside of the reading period will not be considered.

Response time is four to six months. Feel free to query after six months.

Greatcoat pays contributors two copies.

All rights revert to authors upon publication.
